Machines tend to be defined by their purpose. What if we could view their metal bodies as skins showing birthmarks and wrinkles? Look for the signs their makers left, trace the grooves of wear, spot the echoes of their adventurous existence.
Using the tools of portrait photography I try to reinterprete products of engineering as sculptures of mysterious origins. Techscapes Fine Art prints were shown in a special exhibition at the Deutsches Museum, Munich, from August 2008 through June 2009.
